I have been seeing the adorable crochet shorts in stores and on blogs all over. However, I don't see skirts too often. This black one was a gift from a local boutique and I couldn't find it in my closet forever. Well, that's because it had slid down behind my bed post. Crazy, but sooo happy it's back in my life! I had intended to wear this in the Fall with tights, booties and a chunky sweater but why wait? I immediately knew I wanted to assemble an outfit with it for warm weather too!

My oldest son was the photographer on this one and this outfit must not be a winner with the teen boys set as his comment was
"Are you going to wear that in public?" Bah, ha, ha, my son, why yes, I am!!
However, I will probably wear it with t-strap flat sandals. Since the skirt was a little shorter than I normally wear, I wore the heels for "Leg" assistance. LOL
When my husband got home, I had changed into white shorts and he said "You look pretty honey, your top is like Mary Ann's from Gilligan Island." Aww, thanks honey!
The leopard clutch is from Express, the caged heels from Nine West
Can you believe the shirt is from Wal-Mart? I adore it and the fedora is from Wal-Mart too. Now, I try to avoid Wal-Mart if I can because it is usually so crowded but occasionally I go there to get certain items that are at the best price and I stroll through the clothing area just to see. When I find gems like this I'm thrilled!
Tomorrow is the Day~~~FRIDAY!!!!!!
