A DAY IN THE LIFE 2

I told you about a day in the life of Andrea during a regular workday. My workday routines are pretty ridged and set, It's 5:45 AM and up and at em'!! Friday's are more relaxed and different as I have the day off so I get a whole extra 45 minutes to sleep til the alarm goes off and I slip on my Ugg slippers and let our dog Daisy out.

I still like getting up early because I like sitting in front of the computer in the dark while everyone else is still sleeping while I'm checking Bloglovin, commenting, linking up, etc. Always excited to Link up with a fellow Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesdays as this week is A Day in the Life....

*NOTE: BLOG ADVICE (which I rarely give, lol) For those of you that like to link up your posts, I find Friday to be the best and busiest day for that. My top 3 Friday links are as Follows:

Jo-Lynne Shane for Fashion Posts
Momfessionals for Lifestyle and Friday Favs
The Country Cook for Food Posts

I spend about 45 min Friday Mornings linking up to 15 other blogs.

Link em' up so others can be witness to your creativity and voice!

Next, gotta have my one cup of Java! Usually it's the Keurig but sometimes I'll grab a latte from Starbucks on my way home on Thursdays and heat that up Friday morn.
I know, I know it's Spring but I stockpile Pumpkin Spice K-cups and I LOVE it year round!
If kids are around and have time, I'll make them some eggs and bacon or pancakes while this is my breakfast of choice:
Hands down Favorite Yogurt: Oikos Greek in Key Lime ( My blogger friend Amanda's  fav too) and I eat a bowl of berries almost every morning.

The next 2-3 hours are spent reading, commenting on as many blogs as I can while doing a couple loads of laundry and baking some sort of treat. Today it was the White Chocolate Pink Moscato Cupcakes  I shared last Tuesday. Notice, I cannot stop talking about them, lol.
(Yeah, frosted when I got home after errands and had a hard time getting the frosting right so drank those glasses and half the bottle....dont judge.... #typeaperfectionist)

Next, for a few hours, it's errands and today was a fun one. The kids were outta school so our oldest and I took his April prom date, Mikala, to the tux shop for a fitting and lunch at Panera. These two go to different High Schools but will be attending the same college and are great friends. Just LOVE her to pieces!!

Great friends, good times
Floral Affairs Shop owner Ingrid and I go way back..pageants, weddings, proms...Love her!

Great lunch at Panera. Have you tried the Iced Green Tea? My favorite!

Then they dropped me off at the store to get groceries while they went to Starbucks.
After Mikala went home, we discussed graduation open houses and college and he took a couple of my fashion posts photos...my boys are the BEST photographers!

Trust me you need this Navy blazer from Target HERE

Wrapped Daisy's ouchie Paw and sent a picture of what we call "Baby in her bed" to daddy.

Then, time for my workout. During workdays exercising is spread out through the day, it's usually walk, run or stepper. Today, Pounded the pavement in my new Nike Free run Distance kicks from Mr. Nine HERE

For Dinner, I was going to make taco salads but time got away from me and all the boys had other plans so Mr. Nine brought home the favorite thin crust pep with asiago crust!! We have this thing where Friday night thin crust is eaten at the breakfast bar. I'm usually standing on one side, while he is sitting on the other.....funny little tradition.
After dinner, I put together a few things for future posts, added a couple more links, commented and answered a few emails.

Then, a few planks, crunches and then shower.

8p is time to get cozy with Mr. Nine! Since it is not football season, Friday nights are almost always in house movie nights! Tonight we watched Mr. Right with Anna Kendrick, it was cute and lighthearted, which we both needed.

10-11pm is still bed time on Friday nights. So in getting ready to head that way, I see the gal challenging me to a workweek hustle (your steps M-F) on my fit bit is ahead by 657 steps with only an hour left, so guess who stepped in place like mad to win? This girl!  Not competitive at all...NO... here's the verdict:
Whoop Whoop

What's a typical day like for you when you don't have to work or the agenda is more loose?
If you're like me, I'm much much happier on these kind of days!!

xoxo

  1. What a fun look at your day off, which sounds just as busy as a regular work day for you!! If I have the day off I usually wake up a little later but not by much either!! Friday nights are my favorite to cozy up to a movie on the couch!! Have a great start to your week! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  6. Ha! Way to beat her! I have a competitive streak too, so I would probably do the same! This sounds like a lovely day in the life. I too enjoy getting up before the rest of the house and catching up on some blogging before everyone is moving. There is something so nice about having my internet friends and a cup of coffee in the quiet!

  7. Love getting up before everyone else....I think I love it most on the weekends when I don't have anywhere to be for sure. Those cupcakes look amazing and I'm cracking up....pretty sure I would have ended up drinking the glasses too. Fun to do this on an "off" day. Have a super week pretty lady...pretty sure I may just be copying your look today.
