FRIDAY FAVORITES....Come on Spring!!

Ok, it's official, at least in Indiana: April, you are daRunk!!!!!!!! What are you doing to us Mother Nature....sipping too many of my cocktails? Do.Not.Like 22 degree wind chill, snow piling up on my daffodils. What? I refuse to pull the Winter coat back out. I want to wear my little Spring dresses, I want to sit on my deck reading in the sun, bring the real April won't cha. This is nuts!! Yet, no matter how yucky it is, it is still warm inside and in my heart over all this Friday Favorites goodness.
I hope the weekend treats you right friends and the sun shines on your pretty faces!!

1. Friendship in the Mail
Blogging has enriched my life so much!! The biggest way as many of you know is the wonderful friendships along the way. My sweet, sassy and gorgeous friend Laura who has been successfully blogging friends for a DECADE over at The Horton Family sent me this box of goodies in the mail. And getting and sending mail is one of my all time joyous things!! Isn't is crazy we have never met in person but this gal pal has my number...all my favorite goodies!!! So ME and so much gratitude for friends like Laura: supportive, understanding, compassionate and soooo much fun!!

See, not only is she sweet, she's PUR-TEE as an be!!

Look at these darling cards, do my loved ones know me or what? From Pier One and Papyrus..clockwise top left from my sister-in-law, from my mama, from my friends Julie and Annette.
Shoes, Shopping, Feathers, Bling and Martini's!!

And the perfect card from BFF Tami, Bah ha ha!!

2. Chicago Shenanigans
As I mentioned last Friday we headed to Chicago last weekend for my Birthday and a little R&R with our youngest since the older two were away on Spring Break, We shopped, ate fabulous food including this tomato, house made mozzarella and aged balsamic salad, and enjoyed the only gorgeous day this week on Sunday.

No, little Nine does not have Champagne like us, it's Ginger Ale, although we thought the waiter was serving him the Champs, lol
Magenta top JLo from Koh'ls, Michael Kors white pants, Yellow shoes INC from Macy's, Leopard dressy clutch~boutique gift from T

3. Week's Attire
Forever 21 sweater, BP Nordstrom Tee, Kohl's pants

Kohl's top, Loft green pants, Charming Charlie necklace

Calvin Klein top, necklace gift shop birthday gift from my BFF

Target Blazer and Tee , Charming Charlie scarf, Steve Madden flats

4. Athleisure
According to In-Style, Athleisure is what designers and retailers are calling clothes that fit a somewhat broad category of being appropriate for either athletic or leisure pursuits, or both. For me, I've just always called them "cute, comfy clothes" I got this "Athleisure" poncho at a Boutique in Chicago by Heidi Hess and am obsessed. It's like sweatshirt material. Oh comfort joy.
You can go online and buy Here. Heidi is a sweetie! Read about her story Here

5. Eggs Benedict
Remember when I talked about all the Things I've Never Done and one was never had Eggs Benedict. I did it, I did it and I am HOOKED on Eggs Benedict!!!!!! You all are so smart that said I needed to try it including Mr. Nine who knew I'd love it!!

Bonus: The Perfect Meme
Look at his little Starbucks cup...so cute but that frickin' snow in April is not!!

HAPPY WEEKENDING!!

  5. Reading your comments about the temperature makes me feel a little better about it being 32 degrees. I've tried to wear some of my spring items but today I broke down and am wearing a heavier dress and my knee high boots. I'm presenting today and although I wanted to wear my new spring dresses - I just can't. :-) Spring will come to us. Sounds like a great birthday celebration. Hope it's a great weekend.

  48. OMG, it looks like it was the perfect weekend, filled with your two gorgeous men, a trip to Chicago, pretty cards, wonderful food, beautiful birthday cards (each one is so girly, fun and stylish - they did soooo well!) and such pretty, stylish outfits. I love what you wore for the night out in Chicago. Are those shoes recent? I need those neon pumps in my life. I also love the orange CK blouse and that pretty athleisure poncho - totally your style too.

Last but not least, love the quote you ended the post with.

I enjoy posts like these and did a similar recap 'currently' post on my blog, a few days ago. I don't know if you saw it.
