CINNAMON TOFFEE BLONDIES

Oh my how the words Cinnamon and Toffee in a recipe for a sweet treat makes me soooo happy. I made these a couple weeks ago, but obviously am craving some more because I swear I can still taste the sweet flavor of these blondies every morning when I have my coffee. Around the Holidays I made these Cinnamon Toffee Oatmeal Cookies
So when I was pondering and anxious to make a blondie of some sort, because I had never made a blondie before..I know..gasp; I knew they'd have to have cinnamon chips and toffee bits in them. I had never made blondies before but knew I wanted them to be oooey and chewy and not cakey. Yum
The crackle top makes them extra special.
What you'll need

CINNAMON TOFFEE BLONDIES
Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
3 cups light brown sugar, packed
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
4 eggs
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
1 (8oz bag) toffee chips
1 cup cinnamon chips

Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a 13x9 inch pan with parchment paper and spray all sides and bottom of pan well with cooking spray. In a medium saucepan, heat the butter, brown sugar until melted and set aside. In a medium bowl, mix the flour, salt, baking powder and cinnamon until just mixed. In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and vanilla slightly with a fork, add the brown sugar mixture and slowly add the flour mixture until just combined. Stir in the toffee bits and cinnamon and spread evenly in the pan. Bake for about 35 minutes or until the top starts to brown and crackle. Cool completely, then cut into squares.

LET'S TALK: FALL FAVORITES...in 3's FASHION, FOOD & FUN

Pull out your flannels, plaid booties, pumpkin spiced candles and cozy blankies, it's almost September which means one of the most important words in the dictionary: FALL; the season, the crisp, cozy season!! Now, hold onto your PSL's for just a minute, while super jazzed up, I'm not quite there yet. I am teetering between sandals still and cut out booties but not to riding boots or Uggs just yet. Summer is still hanging around Indiana. However, in honor of Andrea and Erika's Let's Talk Series topic: Fall Favotites, I knew I had to join in! Here's all the season's goodness that I'm going to be partaking in for the next several weeks! I thought it'd be kinda fun to show you my top 3 Favorite Fall picks in each category.

FRIDAY FAVORITES...BACK ON THE GRIDIRON EDITION

HAPPY FRI-YAY!!!! It's still Summer but we are already back in the stands for Friday Night Lights. Last Friday was super exciting because our High School Football field was dedicated and is the only one in our county with turf. It's so beautiful it doesn't even look real. The company said it is the most beautiful one they have ever done. The boys took the field for the first time and came away with the "W"! Hope you have sweet plans this weekend, ours include more football and a day trip to our beloved Lake Michigan area to see what shenanigans we can get into.

1. This GUY
With his brothers gone off to college, it's all on this guy and while I know he misses them, he is pretty excited to be spoiled and an only. So proud of him. He is a sophomore and will see Varsity and JV time so expect a lot of football in our future!!
Scrimmage night with his girl and another NINE boy get the #9!

This field was hand stitched, which is amazing and we were in awe of the process as we drove by week after week. It's so cool, it doesn't even look real.
