MAPLE CHICKEN & BISCUITS

Tasty Tuesday is back! While I love the sweets and sure ate my share of them over the holidays, my vow to you is to not share any sugary dessert concoctions this month! Boy, have I started off the year with a goodie! This was a new creation of mine over the holidays that won unanimous rave reviews from the family! The flavors are spectacular and it is way easier than it looks. The sweet maple flavor adds the most delicious and delightful taste! This Maple Chicken and Biscuits is sure to please the whole crew and trust me, will be requested again! And so many things you could eat with the Maple Butter.

The maple butter can be found in some specialty stores but I ordered mine off of Amazon HERE.

What You'll need

MAPLE CHICKEN & BISCUITS
INGREDIENTS
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
3/4 stick (6 Tbsp) butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 Tablespoon season salt
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons paprika
3/4 teaspoon ground pepper
Milk (not shown)
6 biscuits
Maple Butter

DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 400°. Add the butter to a 9 x 13” glass dish and place in the oven while it is preheating. Cut the four chicken breasts into 12 pieces. I cut them lengthwise and then in half. Poor enough mil, I prefer skim (not pictured) over them in a bowl to cover and place in refrigerator. In a gallon size bag, place the flour, seasoned salt, pepper and smoked paprika. Shake to mix ingredients. Remove the chicken breast that have sat in the milk from the refrigerator and shake the excess milk off each piece as you add it to the gallon bag. Once all pieces have been added to the bag, and shake to coat. Remove the 9 x 13“ pan from the preheated oven once the butter is melted and bubbly. Easily place the chicken pieces on top of the butter to cover the entire pan with pieces of chicken. Bake for 20 minutes, remove from the oven turn each chicken piece over and bake another 20 minutes. Remove from oven and cover with tinfoil. Cook the biscuits according to direction, I like the Pillsbury ones that come in the freezer section. Once the biscuits are done cut open and add a couple pieces of chicken on top and drizzle with some of the maple butter heated up.

HAPPY TASTY TUESDAY!

  19. WOW! This looks absolutely fabulous! I love the idea of adding a sweet ingredient to a savory dish. I like adding maple syrup flavoring on my salmon sometimes with some garlic. Pinning this for later!

  20. Yum! There's a breakfast sandwich at a fast food place in Texas called the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit, and I'm thinking that this probably tastes just like it, but with Maple flavor instead of honey! So yummy!

  25. Good lord this looks good! Sounds like the things we eat when we visit Gentleman Caller's family in Mississippi, good ol' southern stick to ribs goodness. Although they would use honey butter, I think this sounds better.
