GRATEFUL HEART....CHRISTMAS QUOTES

Last Monday, I did a post on gift ideas and in it I mentioned that I would much rather give than receive. Not just physical gifts but gifts from the heart as well, doing little things for people like opening doors, taking trays of goodies to neighbors and friends, putting a little extra in the red kettle, getting the bill for the person in line behind me at Starbucks, talking with an older lady in the store just because she wants to have someone to chitchat with. I'm a blessed girl in the sense that I have parents who instilled in me a grateful heart! It saddens me to see so much entitlement in the eyes, mouths and auctions of people today! It makes me miss the days of old when things were much more simple and extending a grateful heart so much more commonplace.

It is during the season that I hope people will gather together and pay extra attention to the gratefulness in each other's hearts! There is a lady I am extremely blessed to know. Her name is Sister Nora Frost and she's the person that inspired this post. What a gift she is to all you know her. I work for a large company and she is our beautiful Chaplain. It was when she was an opera singer in Germany years ago that she decided to devote her life to the Lutheran Evangelical church and become a Chaplain. She is literally one of the sweetest, most compassionate, most giving people I know. She wears her grateful heart on her sleeve and I have often said if I would die today, it is this woman who I want to conduct my funeral. Yes, I said that, lol.  She is funny, she was gracious, she passes out candy, but most of all, it is her love of our Lord that is so truly inspiring.

She gave Christmas cards to departments this year and inside them was a beautiful list of quotes and thoughts compiled by Sister Nora and I thought I would share those and some of mine with you. A little reminder on a Monday how love and faithfulness are abound this season and every day of the year!!

This last one is the one I have most difficult with especially forgiveness for enemies and trying to find tolerance for those who think they are better or have such condescending attitudes. This shall be something I will strive to be better at.

May your Monday be Marvelous, you're heart overflow with gratitude and joy and may the love and positivity that surrounds you, be a light that makes this world a little brighter!!
What a Merry Week this shall be!!
