9 THINGS EVERY HAPPY WOMAN SHOULD HAVE

First of all, I am here to tell you not every day will be happy. There will be crappy days, maybe even weeks, but ladies that come out on top and can see the hope and the light probably have things in their lives and within themselves that help put them there. It can be simple, it can be big but if it puts a smile on your face, it really doesn't matter what it is.

As cliché as it sounds, happiness is within you. Happiness is a self-fulfilling prophecy that is only attained by you. Not one material thing can make you happy. Not one other person is responsible for your happiness. And if you buy into that, you're buying into a false reality. However, things that bring a sense of peace and hope to our hearts can truly turn a crappy moment around.

Tomorrow marks International Women's Day where we honor the struggles and achievements of women all over the world. Now matter what the language, there are things in our lives that we need to get through those struggles and things that keep the smiles on our faces. For most of us, that means family and friends, but there are so many other facets to us ladies and we have all kins of things that make us happy.

Here is a list of 9 Things Every Happy Woman Should Have and the personal things in regards to these that me me happy.

A Go-To Belt It Out In The Car Song
Livin' On A Prayer by Bon Jovi

A Go-To Drink
Key Lime Martini

A Go-To Outfit
Worn v-neck tee, sexy boyfriend jeans, fitted blazer, pointy leopard pumps and dangly gold jewelry. What are you comfortable in, what are you confident in? (staying in would be leggings, a long cozy sweater or sweatshirt and Ugg slippers).

A Hair-Do They Love
A Messy Bun Baby!!

An Exercise Routine
A stepper, miles of walking, sometimes wanna be runner: 4-6 miles a day. It might be boring to some but it's what I love. Do what you love so you'll keep on moving that bod!

A Best Friend
I've got 3: My Mama, My Role and My Husband

An Escape
While being with your family or main man is wonderful, there are times we need a little alone time. Have a place to escape to even if it's in your own house or go to Figi, whatever works, lol

A Dose of Faith
Now, my Faith does center on my Lord and Savior and I hope you all have something to believe in but as Gorge Michael and Wham said in the early 80's, "You Gotta Have Faith!" Whether it's a religious faith or just the faith of hope...hope for yourself, your loved ones and mankind....believe in something greater.

A Healthy Sense of Self
Women are always going to compare themselves to other women, that’s just a fact, but for the majority of the day… we should be happy with who we are.  We should come to terms with our flaws and embrace them as good qualities. It’s what makes us different that makes us who we are, as corny as that sounds. At the end of the day, a woman should want to be more herself than anybody. I try hard at this, most importantly, I try to do what makes me happy.

Bonus: A Silly Side
I gotta admit I got my silliness from my mom. A favorite fun memory as a girl was sitting on a sheet pulling each other back and forth on kitchen floor. We had a very loooong kitchen which made it extra fun. Laugh, giggle, act like a schoolgirl. It's no fun to be serious all the time. Think about it, do ladies who never smile look happy? No!! Let loose and live!!

Now I'm not saying that a revolving closet, a Starbucks gold card and a passport filled with stamps, house on the beach, front row to Luke Bryan and the Biebs wouldn't make me deliriously happy too, but the above list will just have to do......for now.

I absolutely could not post today without saying RIP Nancy Reagan...the classiest of ladies and one of the most beautiful love stories of our time.
I'm so happy you're with Ronnie again!

Now, What's your belt out song, go to outfit, escape or favorite hair style.??....
I'd love to hear....

My go to outfit is jeans and a cute black blouse. My hair is usually down and straight, but sometimes if I don't wash it I will curl it and it sort of kind of holds.

  31. OH my goodness, I didn't know Nancy Reagan died. So sad, but happy she's is with Ronald again. Random fact: I grew up across the street from the Ronald Reagan library, Like I could see the "drive way" (it's a really long switch back road) leading up the the library and it's where I would vote come election time. Back to the actual post, such great things that everyone really does need. Especially the me time, and like Deena said you time without the guilt!
