HEART SHAPED TURKEY MEATLOAVES

HAPPY LOVE DAY angels!!! Nothing says Valentines Day like heart shaped foods. Am I right? Let me just say, the family LOVED this combo. Heart shaped mini meatloaves with pink mashed potatoes!! YES for the culinary win to the heart!!

Yum

The topping of ketchup and brown sugar keeps this so moist.
My meatloaf really is a combination spanning 3 generations. I use some of my mom's ingredients, some of my grandmas, some of mine. And while I have measured it our for you in this recipe, really it is never the same, I just throw it all in.

What you'll need + an egg (I always forget the egg in pictures, lol)

HEART SHAPED TURKEY MEATLOAVES

INGREDIENTS
1 lb ground turkey
1/2 lb ground sirloin
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
5 saltine crackers
2 Tablespoons Italian breadcrumbs
1/4 cup regular breadcrumbs
1 egg, beaten
1/2 teaspoon Worchestishire sauce
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3/4 teaspoon salt
any other seasonings as desired
2 Tablespoons ketchup

Topping
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
3 Tablespoons ketchup

DIRECTIONS
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spay muffin tin with cooking spray. In a large mixing bowl, place turkey and sirloin. Add to it all the other ingredients and mix with large spoon or your hands. Place a sixth of mixture in each heart. Mix the topping ingredients and spread on each heart meatloaf and bake uncovered for about 30 minutes or til center of a meatloaf is no longer pink. Lift out easy with a fork. For mashed potatoes, simply mash as normal, then add a couple drops red food coloring and mix til pink.

HAPPY TASTY TUESDAY VALENTINE'S!!!

  36. Pink potatoes? Of course you would have pink potatoes to go with your heart-shaped meatloaves. You are too cute. I haven't stopped thinking about your dessert with the chocolate chip cookie crust and cheesecake-like filling. I have to get a heart muffin tin and then I will be all over these recipes.
