FRIDAY FAVORITES....Watermelon Edition

Let's get this party started. Well, actually after the last 3 weekends being gone, this gal is ready to NOT party and lay low this weekend! Happy to see Friday come for sure!

1. U2, Chicago and FUN!
What an amazing time we had. 8 of us enjoyed drinks at Rocky's, a great sports bar and then walked down the road to Franco's Ristorante for authentic old school italian!! Magnificent!! The Lumineers opened for U2 and were awesome. The set was incredible and even though we didn't get home til 3am (latest I've been up til in 20 years, lol), it was a night to remember!
Just look a that house made gnocchi and cannoli dip!

Cutest mugs for our vodka and lemonade!

2. Watermelon Love
Shh, don't tell the pineapple that the watermelon was my first love! While you all know my admiration for pineapples, Back in the day, I loved watermelon stuff so much that I even had a watermelon room! I came across this sweet photo, chocolate cake on my cheek and all, and remembered I even made these watermelon sweatshirts in 1994.

The "watermelon room" in my first house post college...circa 1995

I stenciled every single one of those watermelons on for the wall boarder.

And last Thursday, I had showed you this favorite outfit with the new favorite summer bag with a watermelon on it. LOVE this bag so much!!

3. Week's Attire
The Loft cardigan, Target Top

Anthropolgie top, Fashion Bella necklace

4. One Shoulder Ruffle Chambray Dress
This is what I wore to the concert. It was a warm sunny day, so I knew I wanted to be cool, fun and comfortable. The detachable strap is perfect to keep this up, it had pockets, was super soft, was so ruffle cute and best of all, got this on a grocery trip to Meijer in the ladies section for $32!! I will wear this all summer with wedges or tennis shoes too.

That bag is sooo cute with it.

Love this midi version

My darling friend Kellyann from This Blonde's Shopping Bag in her LOFT Lovely. Adore the touches of red.

5. Pink Sky
Remember back when I was going to pick out my flowers for the year? Well, I am happy to say one of my new selections, the Pink Sky petunias are filling out nicely!!

Happy June Weekend Babes!! Enjoy it!!
I hope it's blooming with happiness and fun!

  30. Love your concert look! Bet you were the chicest gal there! So that purse in your inspo look had an entire magazine article post the other day and then I saw it all over the June issue of In Style. I think the real one is $295 on a net-a-porter, but I wonder if anyone has made a good knock-off yet. Have a great, chilled out weekend!

  41. "I carried a watermelon" - all I could think of was Dirty Dancing whilst reading your post LOL! I really do not like watermelons at all. The smell and taste turn my stomach... people think I'm nuts because I dislike it so much! BUT I do like pictures of watermelons lol.
I love the photo of you in 1994. You've hardly changed at all. Still beautiful!

That watermelon tote you got is awesome and as usual you are so pretty in pink! Love the score from Meijer too. Great dress. Did you like Rocky's? We have eaten there too.
