RE-CREATION & MY REFINED STYLE LINK-UP #3

Happy Thursday and welcome to the 3rd monthly My Refined Style Link-Up. For this link-up I'm going casual and sporting my teenage son's sweater, who will be 18 tomorrow. I had pinned this gals ensamble a while back and when I started doing the outfit re-creations for posts, I knew it was one I wanted to try to pull off. The only thing I did not have was a neutral or grey v-neck. Into my sons closet I went, where I found this one from Express and it fit the bill perfectly.
Man does this girl look tiny, but she also looks 20 years younger, so I don't feel so bad. lol

My boots are Steve Madden from Macy's, White jeans are Target, Necklace also Target and gingham top that I adore is from Wal-Mart. Bracelet is Stella and Dot and since I didn't want to spend big bucks for a tortoiseshell fad watch, I got a similar one at Charming Charlie.

  12. I LOVE that you took a sweater from your sons closet! I love borrowing the hubbys clothes or shopping in the boys section of stores. You can find great sweaters (like your sons!) and shirts that are often cheaper and fit better than womens! Love this look on you gorgeous, happy Thursday! XO -Kim

  24. This is my most favorite outfit you have ever re-created. You got it down to a T. How cool to shop your son's closet. I would have never known. Even the bracelet and watch are pretty identical. Very nice inspiration and so well done my beautiful friend. I need that pink gingham from Wal Mart. Wal Mart has been killing it lately. I am sporting a very pretty and cozy find from them, in my latest.

Always a pleasure linking up with you and the other stylish gals (though I am under 40 LOL).
