THE SPRINKLES CUPCAKE EXPERIENCE

CUP CAKE!! Yes yes, I know it's one word; Cupcake! However, the whole anticipation of the Sprinkles ATM experience had me saying CUP-CAKE, CUP-CAKE, CUP-CAKE, LOL. Remember that little booklet I told you about and had a picture of in my Post last week? Well, number one on that list was to go to the SPRINKLES ATM machine! I know I know, probably most of you have heard about them but I did not know about it till I saw a cupcake ATM on a blogger's post a few months ago and I was so excited when I saw they had one in Vegas.

On the first day of exploring the sin city, my husband and I were on a hunt for the Sprinkles Bakery. At first, I thought we were not going to find it, but if you're looking for it, it's on the brick road towards the big Ferris wheel down by the Cromwell Hotel, quite a quaint little stretch. And guess what? For those of you who love IN and OUT Burger, there's one right beside of it!

I got super lucky in that respect but there was no line at the machine. Mr. Nine got the camera on the iPhone ready & I thought he was going to only take one picture but he got the sequence of my excitement and anticipation of my red velvet delight! You knew it was gonna be red velvet, that is my all-time favorite cupcake in the whole wide world. I make a mean Red Velvet cake that we often have a Christmas but it was my mom who is the Queen of all the Red Velvet cupcakes! Her mini ones are pop in your mouth out of this world good and moist. So this cupcake had a lot to live up to. At $4.50, I thought to myself, it better be mind altering. And little boy kinda half way thinking about it but still unsure; I'm sorry if this middle-aged "in need of a sugar fix" woman scared you off...

Here we go.....

Mr. Nine and I walked over to a table and opened the sturdy square box. There it was. I was ready. I didn't even care if I got red velvet on my white pants. I pulled the paper back and dove it. Verdict: Good but not that Good!! Not near my mom's caliber. It just wasn't "that" fresh.

We think there's a dude in a Sprinkles hat who hears a bell when you make a "Cupcake Withdrawal" and pops one of the pre-made cupcakes stacked in boxes behind the door and Bam...... there it is.

The CUPCAKE itself: 3 out of 5 stars
THE SPRINKLES ATM experience: 5 out of 5 stars baby!!

And now, The outfit deets. I am so in love with this top from Nordstrom. In fact, I saw sweet Sheaffer showcased it on her blog on Friday, so I knew I had a goodie. It also comes in blush, black, navy arrow and a beautiful Kelly green that I may have to get as well. It's flowy and comfy and really knocks it out of the park with white jeans, cute accessories and sandals.

Oh, RUB the Buddha's Belly in the back Lobby of the Aria for Good Luck. Oh I rubbed~

  1. I absolutely agree with you! We went to the ATM in Nashville and the novelty of buying the cupcake from there was so cool, but the cupcake itself was just okay!! Still really cool to get to do it! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston

  2. We have a Sprinkles at Disney Springs. We decided to wait in the very long line instead of using the ATM but the results were the same, the cupcake was just so-so and not worth the long wait. But it is a fun experience! I was thinking of getting that saucy red top but I seriously need to stop shopping! Right! You look fantastic in that top, always beautiful my friend!

  4. Oh what a let down!! I would have thought they would be amazing with the way it's so hyped up!! At least you tried it though :)

  5. Well it was certainly worth doing once even if the cupcake wasn't mind blowing. You sound like me... I would totally spend the day wandering around to try to find some food thing I had heard about! I hope you had a great Easter. Ours was so much fun but now I wish I had taken today off to recover! It's ok though, I could use the steps ;-) Actually I'll be in the office more than usual today because I have a conference call to join and it's easier to do from the office than the field. Oh well. No I wish I really did have a stepper tucked away for the days at my desk.

  7. Sprinkles cupcakes are good but I think that it's more about the ATM experience. So fun!

  11. I had/have the Dallas Sprinkles ATM on my to-do list but then when I was in Nashville I saw one there & HAD to do it. I completely agree with you. The experience was so fun & the cupcake itself was good but not mind blowing. I've definitely had better.

  12. I actually heard from other bloggers that have tried the Sprinkles ATM that the cupcake itself is kind of dry and not fresh! It's still such a cute little experience! And can we talk about your top?! Obsessed!!

  15. How cool was the cupcake ATM!!!??? I haven't heard of it, either, but at least you got to pre-walk those calories when you were looking for it, right? ;) Loved seeing all your expressions that Mr. Nine was able to capture, but I hate the cupcake was kinda a let down. That just goes to show you that Mama's cooking - or baking! - is always best! Love me some red velvet, too, Girl! I'm ordering that top in blush today! Hope you had a wonderful Easter!

  16. a cupcake ATM is a thing? what the heck? That's amazing. Now, is there such a thing as a wine ATM? Cause that I could be down with... well, maybe not for the next 4.5ish months or so, but any other time I'm totally in lol
can't wait to see your face in a month!

  17. Wow, what a fun experience! I bet it would be hard to beat your sweet mama's cupcakes! Loving your top from Nordstrom! Happy Monday! :)

  18. I've always wondered how fresh the cupcakes could be, but I think I'd probably still go just for the experience!

  19. SO much fun! I can totally see it being a 5/5 experience, but the cupcake itself being 3/5. I'll be way too excited to finally stumble across one of these magical machines <3

  20. Even though you only gave it a 3 out of 5, I'd probably still do it just for the experience. But then again, I've never met a cupcake I didn't like.

  21. I totally agree, the ATM cupcakes are better for some reason!!!! I swear someone is secretly inside making them :) Love your top and pants!!! Super cute!

  23. There is one of those cupcake ATMs in Atlanta and I keep thinking to myself that I would try it one time when I am over there...but I think I might pass since the cupcake isn't amazing. There are way too many amazing bakeries there to eat just an ok cupcake lol. Love your top!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I've heard of those machines but never seen one. I was wondering how fresh and good the cupcakes can possible be. There is nothing like homemade ones!

    ReplyDelete
  25. SO laughed about the not caring about the white pants :) haha
I think most things are just about the experience... which is kinda crazy. I'd pay just to do it too ;) They were onto something with that idea just for that point.

  26. You are so cute! I'm with ya and their cupcakes are okay but the ATM is such a cute idea! I feel like I only go there for photo opps haha!

I also love how you layered a choker and long necklace. You look darling!!! (as always) Have a great day...now I'm off to dream about CUP CAKES!!!😉

  28. Hooray for finally getting your own Sprinkles ATM experience! I have to admit that Sprinkles isn't my favorite cupcake place, but the fact that they have an ATM is too cool to not experience at least once! And hooray for Mr. Nine capturing it all for you!

  29. How fun! Glad you could check that off the bucket list! That's annoying that it wasn't delightfully delicious though. I am loving that saucy top on you, that color is made for you! Happy New Week!

  32. I have always thought these were the cutest ATMs ever! I am relieved to know that I'm not missing out on anything too groundbreaking, though, in regards to taste. I actually got a similar top that is black and white striped that I can't wait to wear! Hope you had fun in Vegas.

  37. What a fun experience! I love the photo sequence! I've had Sprinkles cupcakes a few times and honestly was never all that impressed. Good, but never amazing.

I love you in the red top! Perfectly paired with the white jeans. I've been thinking of getting a bell sleeve top, and my guess is that the shorter sleeve is quite practical (versus a longer sleeve hanging in my food, etc.).

    Have a wonderful week!

  40. I knew you had your heart set on finding the cupcake ATM while you were in Vegas, meanwhile I had no idea there was even one there but what does Vegas not have these days? The experience sounds fun even though it's a bummer the cupcake itself wasn't exactly fantastic. Gorgeous outfit for some Vegas exploring! xo

  41. Guess I've live under a rock, I've never even heard of Sprinkles.:o)) And, like I need to place one more Nordstrom order, but I just might have to have that top. Cute post!

  42. Oh my gosh! The cupcake ATM! We visited the one in LA when were there last year. I was so excited. I feel the same way, the experience is so much more fun than the actual cupcake. We have a Sprinkles in DC and I think the cupcakes are a lot better in store. I agree, mine wasn't that "fresh" at the ATM either. I love the sequence of pictures your husband took! How fun!! Hope you had a wonderful Easter, Andrea!

  46. I saw one of these when we were in FL and why I didn't get one I will never know. You are the cutest and I love your excitement. Red velvet is my absolute favorite! It has to be cream cheese frosting though and I am in heaven. I'm sure our mom's tastes amazing. Loving this fun outfit too! Beautifully Candid

  47. Love this post and I love you! I love that you got a cupcake from the ATM. If I ever see one, I am getting one! :) Also, as I am reading this post I am telling my hubby that we need to get our act together and go to Vegas. We have never been before. What the what?!?! Also, cute outfit. I love that top and I love that the neckline is not that low and it is longer in the back, perfect for teaching in. Have a Happy Monday!

  53. I love In and Out, thankfully we don't have any near me so I don't have to constantly succumb to their delicious burgers. An ATM for cupcakes? That sounds amazing, yet I am also thankful I don't have one of those close to me either. Side note, obsessed with your top, that color looks gorgeous on you!
